“A Sense of.......”,
Solo exhibition
artSPACE durban / gordart Gallery, (2007)

Both shows consisted of oil paintings with a number of works from the Durban show included in the gordart Gallery show with additional new work.

The shows dealt with the depth of an emotional remembrance and the power paint holds in order to capture such moments. Many of the human forms are broken down by fragmented mark-making and slabs of layered paint. The paint application forming an important tool in conveying the blurred memory and emotion. Likewise landscapes that are eroded by tone and atmosphere resulting in scenes that are in the process of losing their solidity and becoming a place nearly forgotten.
